The
Golden Chariot - India's most luxurious train, 19 luxuriously and
thematically designed coaches Moulded in steel, crafted with Passion,
inspired by Kings, Holy men, timeless beauties and cosmic dances
The train
has, among which 11 coaches are passenger coaches, the cabins are inspired
by the Mysore and Belur Halebid schools of art and architecture each
one equipped with modern amenities like wi-fi- environment, plasma TV,
attached baths and other finest facilities
The coaches
have been named after the dynasties that ruled Karnataka Kadamba,
Hoysala, Rastrakuta, Ganga, Chalukya, Bhahamani, Adhilshahi, Sangama,
Shathavahna, Yudukula and Vijayanagara
The attractions
on board do not end here, there are vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants
with the five star facilities, there is a fully stored bar named 'Madira',
ayurvedic center, spa, gym, conference coach etc. in the train for the
travellers.The train will give you a glimpse of the heritage of Karnataka
and will take your minds back to the historic events that shaped the
today
The train
will cover twelve places in seven days. The Golden Chariot will start
from Bangalore and cover Mysore, Kabini, Hassan, Belur, Shravanabelagola,
Hampi, Aihole, Pattadakal, Badami and Goa, from where it will begin
its return journey to Bangalore
According
to the sources, No other train anywhere on world has as many features
the Golden Chariot has. No train ever featured a wi-fi system and live
TV programs, satellite TV helps you to be live on board.
Inspired
by the successful stories of other Indian Luxurious trains like 'Palace
on Wheels', The Golden Chariot will in take commercial passengers from
the month of March onwards. A 38 crore, prestigious project of Karnataka
Tourism Development Corporation, The Golden Chariot is expected to attract
both international and domestic passengers to the state. Just like the
determination and vision that transformed Bangalore into the software
hub of the world, The Golden Chariot is another world class initiative
born in Karnataka, which will glitter out the historical importance
and tourist attractions of the state to the outer world
The luxury
train will start its trial run from second week of February and its
full commercial journey of seven days and seven nights will begin on
March 3, 2008 when the 19 thematically designed coaches
of the train will be fully operational. The package will cost $350 a
day, which includes the travel, stay on land and food
