is the daughter of director Ram Mukherjee. Being a cousin of the
most successful actress Kajol, it's obvious that Rani too has got
it through her genetic influences to enact the roles she's given.
And it's a phenomenon that unless Rani hasn't put loads of concentration
and tremendous personal effort in the roles she plays, she wouldn't
have been where she is now.
Though
she had the introduction into the Bollywood through her first movie
Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, she was in the news with her wonderful performance
in Ghulam and with the third movie Rani was in headlines again receiving
the Best Supporting Actress award from Filmfare for her active and
playful performance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai thus enhancing herself
in the Bollywood.
